We are the Muller family serving in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. We are currently in Chetumal, Quintana Roo. Chetumal is the capitol of Q,Roo where Mitchell pastors the Iglesia Bautista Calvario de Chetumal. Mitch and Liz were saved in November of 1989 in Lakeside, Ca. a small town outside San Diego. They had been tuning in to a Christian radio station and through the preaching were led to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Their son Richard was born soon after and they moved away to Seattle, Wa where they found the Open Door Baptist Church pastored by Dr. Ken Blue. During a Missions Conf. Mitchell yielded his life to the mission field and entered the Bible Institute under Pastor Blue. During 8 years at ODBC, Mitchell and Liz served in various ministries, including the Bus Ministry, the Sunday School and Jr. Churches. There the Muller's learned how to serve the Lord, and received the training of the local church according to God's plan. In 1998 Liz and Mitch traveled to the field of Mexico with the Youth group and there began to realize the call of God on their lives. They have served 2 years in a very small town learing the language and customs of the distinct Mayan descendents who dwell in the Yucatán Peninsula. Richard and Genoveve both speak the language perfectly, and have attended the public schools of Mexico where they have influenced many for Christ. Richard serves in the Youth Group at Calvary Baptist and ushers in the mornings while occasionally playing the piano for the church as well. Genni, just has a great time with all her friends at church and loves her Jr. Church where her Mom leads kids with her helpers. God is blessing the work in Chetumal and they Calvary Baptist Church has already began to support their own missionaries in Guatemala and in Panama.
